The Lean Creator publishes practical guides to the tools solo creators use to sell online: course platforms, email marketing tools, newsletter platforms and all-in-one funnel builders.
Why this site exists
A lot of "best tools" lists rank whatever pays the biggest commission and describe every product as perfect. Many of the pages that rank for these searches are written by the software companies themselves, and they tend to put their own product first.
That doesn't help much if you're a coach, writer or side-hustler trying to keep your software bill small while you find your first customers. So we take a different approach:
- Fixed criteria. Real monthly cost at your size, transaction fees, free plans and trials, ease of use, and who each tool fits.
- We say who should skip a tool. Every product is a poor fit for someone.
- Facts from the source. Prices and limits come from official pricing and help pages, and we flag it when a company's own pages disagree.
- Plain English. No jargon, no countdown timers, no hype.
